Upcoming Webinar: Transparency in Animal Research Around the World

As part of the “Global Dialogues on Laboratory Animal Science” webinar series celebrating the 70th anniversary of ICLAS, ICLAS has invited EARA to co-organize a joint webinar exploring transparency in animal research across different regions of the world beyond Europe.

This webinar will examine how transparency in animal research is approached in different regions, highlighting what can be learned from diverse practices and perspectives.

Over the past decade, the European biomedical community has made significant progress toward greater openness about animal research, leading communication and outreach initiatives. Bringing together voices from Canada, South America (Brazil), Africa (Mauritius), South Asia (India), and East Asia (Japan), this session will explore how regions outside Europe are communicating about the use of animals in research, engaging with the public, and contributing to more open and informed dialogue at both national and international levels.

By comparing these regional approaches, the webinar aims to provide a broader understanding of global efforts to strengthen transparency, public trust, and informed discussion around laboratory animal science.

First Global Dialogue Now Available: Open Questions for the Next 25 Years The first event of the ICLAS Global Dialogues on Laboratory Animal Science series took place on April 17 and featured the presentation “Open Question in Laboratory Animal Science: The Next 25 Years”, which brought together different perspectives on future trends in laboratory animal science.
